About Crystal Stark

International performer, award-winning artist, and American Idol semi-finalist Crystal Stark got her start singing in her hometown of Tucson Arizona. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a degree in Music Education, Crystal went on to direct contemporary music at a variety of local churches while teaching private voice lessons full-time from her home studio.

From here she went on to audition for the hit TV-show American Idol where she placed in the top 44 and toured with the show’s runner-up Katharine McPhee. Crystal has appeared on: The Tonight Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Regis & Kelly, The Today Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live among others. After her time on Idol, Crystal competed in the Gospel Music Association’s national Music in the Rockies competition where she ended up winning first place for vocal solo as well as Best of Show for the entire event.

After competing, Crystal shifted her focus back to on her music education degree to teach band, choir, and general music for Esmond Station K8 in the Vail School District. Here she exponentially grew the music program over 8 years until almost 40% of the entire school population participated in band and/or choir. Ms. Stark’s band/choir concerts boasted record attendance with many audience members traveling great distances to see the groups perform. Though she loved her time teaching public school, Crystal missed the one-on-one interaction with voice students, prompting her to return to teaching privately.

Crystal still enjoys a full performance calendar that reflects the diversity of her wide-ranging talents. She has numerous one-woman shows where she travels around the US paying tribute to: “Ella Fitzgerald, Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston” to name a few.  She recently joined on as the newest member of Vegas-based international performing group DIVAS3 as one of their cruise ship entertainers. Crystal is also a lead singer for a myriad of groups, orchestras and production companies throughout Arizona.

Crystal is thrilled to present Crescendo Vocal School, and looks forward to bringing joy, life, and hope to the community one voice at a time. She truly believes that singing can heal the soul, and looks forward to helping people fill their lives with the gift of music.

Ms. Stark relaxes by hanging out at home with her husband Bill, and her two young sons, - the only two people on the planet with as much energy as her.
